From humble beginnings in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, Julian "JT" Dorsey turned his love for soccer into a lifelong mission to uplift and empower underserved youth. A former USL Championship professional player, JT combined his passion for the game with his background in Elementary and Special Education from Loyola University Maryland to create meaningful change in communities like the one he grew up in.

As the Founder and Executive Director of the JT Dorsey Foundation, JT is dedicated to breaking down barriers to soccer and promoting education, health, and wellness for over 1,500 children annually in Pennsylvania. In this episode of Becoming My Stronger Me, JT shares his journey—from his playing days to his transition into coaching, mentorship, and advocacy. He discusses the power of sport as a vehicle for social change and the importance of ensuring that all children, regardless of background, have access to opportunities to thrive.

We also dive into his work as Grassroots Soccer Manager for Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association and his efforts to support youth development on and off the field. Recognized for his impact with awards like the 2023 Black Soccer Coaches Local Legend Award and the 2024 EPYSA Service to Community Award, JT’s story is an inspiring example of using sport to make a difference.
